Emery and Olivier helped each other out of the darkest moments of their lives and learned not only to love themselves but fall in love with each other. They were there for each other through the good and bad times. Music kept their spirits alive and admitting truth gave them the strength to keep going.

Creating a mixtape that is more powerful than anything.

This was such a great story of overcoming tragedy and depression. I was able to relate to a lot of the struggles of the FMC being a single mom myself and it definitely brought up some emotions in that regard. Emery and Oliver needed each other to work through their issues and I’m so glad they were able to work through them together!

I really like the plot. Start of the book was really good but at the end it started going down that's why it's not getting higher rating

The story was OUTSTANDING 70% of the book. The different topics are grief, abandonment, belonging, etc. All of that was super good until about 70% of the book was done then it just fell off for me. I think when the confrontations and Emery's back story came in, it was a bit chaotic for me. I would have loved more of Oliver's perspective but again everything was beautiful until the chaos broke loose and the story lost me at that point.

My 2nd 5⭐️ read of 2024! This book touched on so many things, abandonment, generational courses, verbal and emotional abuse, loss, depression, and other types of trauma.

Emery was able to give of herself to so many people and things that she had no idea how to handle someone being there for her.

Oliver thought the best part of him died when he lost his brother but just needed someone to come into his world and give him the space to heal.

It was such a sweet story that reminded me that it could always be worse. On a day when my heart was being torn, this book helped me get through the day.

Great read!!
