This was supposed to be the most interesting of the Bridgerton books with the mystery plot. To me it was the plot that just wouldn't end. When it finally started wrapping up we had to suffer through an epilogue from their daughter's perspective. We had to hear how the parents were still in their prime. That is so gross. Gareth is described as having a "wicked reputation" at this point I am begging for literally any other trope. Does this not get tedious after 45 siblings all having the same story?
One final thought. Why say "ton" instead of "town"? Nothing else about these books is historical or conventional. Every time I saw it, which was very regular, I feel like I'm reading a typo because it sticks out so much.
