Start Turton on onnistunut kirjoittamaan erittäin hämmentävän teoksen. Lukijaparka on aivan hukassa epämääräisten vihjeiden kasaantuessa, eikä loppuratkaisua todellakaan osannut arvata ennakkoon. Evelyn Hardcastle on tuomittu kuolemaan päättymättömässä silmukassa.

Tosin tällaisenaan teos on omiaan ruokkimaan mielikuvituksellisia vastauksia avoimiin kysymyksiin.

I absolutely loved this book. So much intrigue and mystery from the very beginning, you get sucked into this world, although you don’t want to leave Blackheath you’re very thankful when you finally do. Highly recommend if miser-mystery, time-travel, Groundhog Day is your thing.

Aidan Bishop has eight days and eight hosts to figure out who murdered Evelyn Hardcastle (and made it look like no crime at all was committed). If he solves the mystery, he escapes Blackheath. If he doesn't, the cycle starts over. Oh, and it's a competition. There are others trying to solve the same mystery.

Sometimes you read a book and you just have to marvel at the genius of the person who wrote it. This is one of those books. The way the narratives overlap and ripple into one another for each of Aidan's hosts is incredible. This book kept me guessing the whole way through.
