A fun murder mystery time-travelling body-swap story, that kept me guessing right until the very end!

this is the first book in a while where i have been left absolutely bamboozled! incredible.

i did get far too confused in the middle for this to be a five star read though.

Really intriguing premise and writing. I usually stay away from mystery/thriller because I find them predictable but this wasn’t, by any stretch of the imagination - and there were many stretches of the imagination. I’d definitely have to read this a second time to catch all the little clues now that I know the ending. Honestly I’m sure I missing things because it was so fast-paced I just kept going, I couldn’t put it down. 4 stars because I do think some plot lines were left hanging (I hate intentionally misleading clues that are never resolved), and time travel isn’t really my jam. But definitely worth the read.

Thrilling and mysterious in the best ways. Hooks you from the very first sentence. Great world building and character depth as the story unfolds and twists and turns

The story was moving along at a decent pace until
Aiden woke up in Lord Ravencourt's body,
and then it devolved into chapter after chapter of the most disgusting fat phobia I have ever read. The author went into excruciating detail on how "disgusting" the fat body of this particular host was. I think it was meant to be some sort of foil or plot device ("what will the main character do now that he can't move in this body to solve the crime??"), but the result was just abhorrent fat shaming.

Then the book just never f**king ended. Think you know who killed Evelyn? TWIST. Then ANOTHER TWIST. Then ANOTHER and ANOTHER until I just wanted it to freaking end. Do not recommend this book, just read the wiki synopsis.
