This was a great start to a new series and loved the undeniable attraction between Chloe and Parker along with the intrigue behind the Little Black Book. Parker has to eat humble pie after being so flippant about what Chloe does for a job and it made me laugh when he had to make the call to her, but frustrated me on how he still didn't take her seriously to begin with, but Chloe knows her stuff and knew he would soon see she knows what she is doing. While sorting out Parkers PR issues things between her and Parker ramp up along with who ever is behind Little Black Book causes more issue that has you turning the page to see what happens next as well as eagerly awaiting the next book to see what is in store for one of Chloe's bestie's Taylor!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It was a cute and quick read. I am more invested in finishing the series and find out who’s behind the gossip account than the actual romance lol.

: Sexual scenes, mention of losing a parent to cancer, and witnessing a loved one have a stroke.

I was approved for the ARC of book three, that’s set to release in a few weeks, but you know how I love fully immersing myself in a series so I snatched up a copy of books one and two. This series also seems like the kind that needs to be read in order, each book covers a different couple but the underlying theme of “Little Black Book” has me thinking it’s important to get all the information.

Chloe’s job, as a celebrity publicist, keeps her busy trying to ensure her clients stay in the good graces of the press. After losing her dad, as a child, Chloe’s watched her mom fall in, and out of, love so many times she no longer believes in it. Why invest time and emotions into people who can easily just walk away?

Parker has never cared about the “carefree playboy” image the press has always labeled him with…until he meets Chloe. As a sports agent, Parker isn’t unaware of how vicious the media can be but he’s never had it aimed at one of his clients until Little Black Book stirs up a scandal. Desperate to clean up his client’s image and have an excuse to see her again, Parker hires Chloe to run PR and fly with him to Miami.

Neither Chloe nor Parker believe in happily ever after…so then why do they both feel sad about agreeing to only one night? Why can’t they stop thinking about each other? Why do they keep trying to think of excuses to call the other?

This was such a fun read and at 214 pages it’s a perfect summer beach read. I’m interested to see what they uncover about Little Black Book as I jump into book two. My only issue was that Chloe is a redhead, it’s mentioned several times in the book, but the cover model is blonde. *sigh* Other than that, haha, I enjoyed diving into this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
