This was definitely an intriguing story that made me want to know what would happen next. however I felt the ending was fairly sudden and a bit unsatisfying.

Woman authors forcing their male love interests to go through horrific trauma to try and make them likable is an interesting trope to say the least...

The concept of this book sounds interesting but the execution was not it. It started off super slow and boring and only picked up about half way in but at that point I was already checked out. The crumbs of romance we get is subpar if we're only going to get crumbs I want to feel the tension in each touch and the buildup. The romance was just as disappointing.
