Cute concept. Kate Connor is a former demon slayer – a la Buffy Summers – who is now a housewife with three kids, including a toddler. She thinks she’s safe until a demon comes through her kitchen window just hours before a big dinner party. So, she kills him and hides him in the pantry. It goes downhill from there.[return][return]Very clever story, really enjoyed it.

A fairly fun and light read! Can't ask for much more than that when you're battling your own stresses.

It started out fun, but then it quickly became boring and annoying at places. I won´t be searching out more books by this author.

Finally, i be able to finish a book this year.
This book (and series) is the first book of Julie Kenner i've read. Of course, i've heard some friends gushed over her books, but i haven't had a chance to try her books. This year, i finally managed to snatch her books to read. And i'm not dissapointed.
This book are funny and refreshing. The heroine in her late 30, a retired demon hunter whom became a housewife with two kids, beloved husband and beloved deceased husband.

I'd seen these before but the cutesy name put me off. Finally checked this out on Saturday - and it's fun! If you've ever watched Buffy or Supernatural, take a female Hunter from the show, let her retire for about 15 years and acquire a husband, a teenaged daughter and a toddler (and all the resulting chaos) and then toss a random demon back into her life. Now instead of juggling demons and school, Buffy (sorry, Kate) has to juggle carpool, someone else's teenaged angst, an oblivious husband, a toddler and volunteer work.

I mean it’s a demon hunting soccer mom. What isn’t to love from this little bit of night time fluff?!
