I don't have much context outside of this book regarding hasidic Judaism, but the gender segregation reminds me of other contexts I'm familiar with. It was also interesting because it felt like the school to prison pipeline but without the prisons. I do kind of wonder whether some of the stories got approved by other people or not.

It was interesting to hear about how she studied & what she studied. I'm not Jewish, so I'm not educated, but if I were to study, I think I'd be looking to this for inspiration. Or Romemu?
