~ Cheery, Warm Read! ~

This was such a fun, cozy book!! I loved the simplicity of it and it felt like such a breath of air after reading so many twisting, dark stories!!

A lot of books nowadays try to do too much and end up being overly confusing or long or gritty in an attempt to make themselves “good” so I appreciate just having a book be what it is!!

Victoria stated before that this was just going to be a short, simple love story and that’s exactly what we got and what I read!!

The plot was great and moved along at a nice pace and I loved seeing the end to Rowan’s story!! While not as exciting or thrilling as The Winter Charlatan, this have Rowan the emotional resolution and ending I felt she deserved and for that I loved this book!!

Victoria you are always an auto-buy author for me and I can’t wait to see what you write next!!

CWs - none

***A big thank you to the author for sending me an early copy to read and review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.***

This was a great ending to this series! I loved the subversion of the true love trope-they weren't all over each other immediately, which I find much more believable than the opposite. McCombs again dissects and handles Rowan's trauma in a very sensitive and believable way, and I loved watching her again grow as a person during the story. Overall, I would recommend this series to fairytale lovers.

I read this IMMEDIATELY after finishing The Winter Charlatan because I needed resolution for my breaking heart!

Nicolas is sweetheart and such a lovely, endearing gentleman! Rowan is still her strong self, but parts of her have mellowed, and I loved her growth as her character arc rounds out!

The plot was a bit intense, and the romance was heavier than in the other books, but it was still perfectly sweet.

With each step, my heart broke for Rowan as she struggles to regain her footing in a world she doesn’t know after spending 100 years of sleeping.

The resolution was well done and brought excellent closure. These characters will continue to live on for me though, even though they tales might be over. :)
