I feel like the author attempted to do too much with this book but didn’t succeed in accomplishing any of it. I thought both the pacing of the book and the relationship was odd. I’m not sure why it needed to be mentioned that she had read this pairing many time but not the other way around because she wasn’t in to the whole lesbian thing. It was just such an odd way to phrase. Plus the plot was rather weak and the ending in which Zane died felt unnecessary because I don’t believe it actually added  anything to the story.

This novella was a little harder for me to enjoy. This kind of relationship is outside what is normal for me. I like the way the romantic relationship developed, but it was a bit harder for me to understand. If you are into this kind of a story, then I would say go for it.

I really shouldn't complain as I did receive this as a freebie but I guess I was hoping for a bit more. I might have enjoyed it a bit better if I had read the first book, even though it was listed as RE-PUBLISHED (which I took to mean it was reworked/fleshed out a bit more) and listed as "both (a) standalone and as part of (the Warriors of Phaeton) Alien anthology."

It was intriguing and males were hot but the sex was oriented more on male pleasure than Andrea/Andi's and actually rather vanilla. Still, it killed a couple of hours of insomnia.
