I adored this book. Not only does it have a love affair with books itself but the story is so engrossing, you have to keep reading to find out what secret will be revealed next. The writing style is also impressive for its simplicity. Setterfield was not trying to impress with a pretentious style which I feel a lot of modern writers do. Instead, this was an enjoyable, stimulating read. I am excited to see what she does next.

Had trouble getting into it. The writing style was overly wordy and was hard for me to easily follow.

I can see why my main library only has the abridged version.

At first I didn't know where this book was going too. It was also a little confussing, but then I got the hang of it. Great story and great story telling of this writer.
