This is so not the usual kind of fantasy book I go for, but I DEVOURED it in like 6 hours. Fun read that helped get me out of a reading slump :)

Excellent Book

I really enjoyed this book! Great world and character building without being monotonous or repetitive. I have a short attention span but this book kept my attention the entire time that I had to read it in one sitting (RIP sleep). The lead character is a bad ass and the two love interests make for an interesting read! I loved this so much! Cannot wait for the next one!

I like the world of the book but it was so confusing to read. You jump POV without any indication whatsoever and the narrator is omniscient but sometimes you hear the characters's thoughts.
Even the storyline confused me. I finished it but I'm still not sure if I understood where it's going and I don't like that. I know the story's not finished but nothing was resolved at the end of the book, it feels like I only just read 5 chapters.
I liked the characters and the world of the book but I didn't like the way it's written so I won't be reading the next one.
Sorry Mrs. Wagner

Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so mad for like 95% of this book lol I hatteee that entire pack expect for Conrad and the alphas mate. Cain was a terrible boyfriend from the start and him trying to force her into his pack almost got her killed. I’m glad she stood up for herself and decided to her revenge because all of them deserved it. I really hope she stays with Lucas I like him way more than Cain and I’m excited to read the next book

Wow! If you like contemporary stories of werewolves, vampires, and other things that lurk in the imagination this is a must read. Bonus romantic tension and drama really makes you question who you want to be together and who SHOULD be together

Absolutely beautifully written had me intrigued from the beginning and anxious for the next book! Giving me a subtle Anita Blake vine that I'm living for.

The Great:

Paranormals, love triangles, vengeance.

This book is a mental fight-song. I read it in less than twenty four hours. The revenge plot totally avoids the 'Disposable Love Interest' trope, and I am SO feeling it. Kee is fighting for *herself*.

She wasn't the one to throw the gauntlet down, but she is ready to hit her enemies where they hurt. She's damn good at it, too.

In my opinion, this is Mercyverse & Dresden Files level good. The bones are there, the foundation is laid. I can't wait to see what the author builds on it.

This is third person omniscient, and sometimes the perspective shifts can happen pretty quick. It's not a bad thing, but I feel like it's something that could use a little polish in the future.

This book gets a full 4 stars from me.
As a debut novel it is great, and it left me wanting so much more!

The cliffhanger she left us with at the end was painful but good! I do not want Kee to end up with Cain and seeing her go back to him made my heart hurt a little bit. I guess this is my official application for #teamlucas

Also Conrad at the end, what was that! Who is MIA!?
I need answers!
So excited to see where this story will take us next

I'm a big fan of paranormal romances, so picking up Skin was a no-brainer. I really loved the side characters (Conrad, my sweet!) and Cain kinda grew on to me to be honest; I'm so torn on who is my favorite out of our two love interests in Skin.
What I didn't enjoy about this story was the choices our mc Keira Quinn made when it came to her whole plot for revenge. I mean I get where she's coming from, but I don't agree with her actions. There was a lot going on towards the end. Keira came off as hot-headed, we suddenly see more about the revolution going on that we only see snippets of in the beginning, and some drama surrounding Conrad's previous pack was unveiled.
I think it was a good story overall and I feel like I'm curious enough about the story to pick up the next book in the series.
