I wasn't as impressed by this one as I have been with some of the other History Comics graphic novels. this one didn't do as great of a job with identifying characters (without the narrators providing background information framework the other ones had, it was a lot more work to figure it out as you went along). I also felt like it minimized the actual dangers, racism, and death toll of the Chinese workers on the job....while mentioned, it was done in a way that I think some students won't fully recognize what happened or realize to the extent that people were killed in the process of building the railway. This one was just a little underdeveloped and needed more context and development of characters to really stand out.
