I am so sad this series is over. I loved every single book but Samantha really did save the best for last. Reese and Garrett are just so good. What they had to go through to be together broke my heart. But that ending? Absolutely perfect.
I haven’t been let down by a Samantha Christy book yet and Reckless Reunion is no exception. Her books are always beautifully written and filled with realistic angst.
I loved seeing grown up Maddox as Reece’s protective best friend and can’t wait to see his story. I enjoy how she interweaves her characters throughout all her series, it always brings a smile to my face when someone familiar pops up.
I enjoyed both Garrett and Reece and my heart broke for both of them throughout the story. Like Garrett, I struggled to forgive Reece for a good portion and do wish there was a bit more redemption/apology from her. But ultimately understood most of her decisions. Absolutely loved the epilogue what a sweet and satisfying wrap up to the series.

Holding on to love and finding yourself in the end
This was the last book in the trilogy and it's Garrett's story. I'm not sure what direction that I thought his story would go in, but getting into it was so unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable. He was the character who was always there for his bandmates. I wasn't expecting the quick and fast love story that Garrett had with Reece. Such a whirlwind and something so passionate they had with one another because they just clicked when they were together. Life pulled them apart and it crumbled. While I loved Garret even his questionable indiscretions, I have to say I wasn't fond of Reece. She was a bit too needy for me and I think that was the reason why I didn't connect with this book. I know we are a product of our experiences, but I found myself wondering are these two really meant to be with one another. I think finding your soulmate has a lot to do with a person who can love your faults along with your positives and embracing you harder. I absolutely loved the ending, the closeness that exists with this band is a beautiful thing. Great ending to this series.

Reckless Reunion was everything and more! Samantha Christy sure knows how to rip your heart out and then put it back together in the best ways. Reckless Reunion is the third book in the Reckless Rockstar series. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon narrate this audio book.
Garrett is the drummer for Reckless Alibi, and just like the other members of the band, he also has a complicated and tragic past. Garrett also helps writes song lyrics for the band. Insert Reece, who is a blast from Garrett's past. Reece claims to have written, "Swerve" one of Reckless Alibi's latest hits. Reece has several stipulations when it comes to her song, and as the story progresses; Garrett and Reece reunite and their reunion is full of ups and downs.
Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon have been AMAZING through this entire series! Jason and Erin's performances as Garrett and Reece were raw and emotional! Jason sings (again), and gives so much life and passion to Christy's heartfelt lyrics! Erin Mallon is perfection as Reece, making you empathize with all her struggles to overcome the pain from her past. These two are always one clicks for me!
This book was an emotional rollercoaster that I didn't want to end. I devoured this audiobook quickly because I was completely consumed by the story. I cried and swooned loving every last bit of the book! I especially loved the epic epilogue that gives the reader an update on all the band members! Samantha Christy has quickly become one of my new favorite authors! I adored getting "reckless" with this series!

Utter Perfection
After Crew and Bria in Reckless Obsession and Liam and Ella in Reckless Invitation, the anticipation to find out what was in store for Garrett was high and I was certainly not disappointed.
Up until this point, Garrett has been the ultimate playboy Rockstar within Reckless Alibi. Completely living up to the role of the stereotypical Rockstar. But by the end of the first chapter, we are lead to believe there is more to Garrett and why he is the way he is. For two books we have been given insights into Garrett and despite his playboy ways, you can't help but love him anyway and hope that he will one day find the love of his life - even if he does feel "destroyed".
Enter Reece. Going into the second chapter from Recce's POV you kinda don't want to like her. But you do. I don't know what it is with Samantha Christy's characters but every time you want to dislike someone, you end up falling in love with them and totally rooting for them. Not to mention we get our first glance at adult Maddoc and we see a bit of Skylar again (from the Mitchell sisters trilogy)!
So, after only reading two chapters I was completely hooked! I loved and hated both of them, yet was totally rooting for them from the beginning even though I had no idea what happened. Why do both of these characters hate each other so much? What happened six years ago to completely change their paths? What path were they both on in the first place?
Throughout the whole book, we are taken on a whirlwind journey with the constant back and forth between these two. Not only in the present day but also six years ago. There are twists, turns, hotness, sexiness, and of course the penultimate "sh*t hitting the fan" moment (as I like to call them). But the one thing that is clear the entire way through, is that these two are meant to be together.
'"It would go faster if we shower together." I give her a heated look. "I guarantee it wouldn't"'
Out of everything I love about Samantha Christy's books, the one thing that always gets me is the storyline. Every time I start one of her books I wonder what will happen and the thousands of possibilities run through my head. Even when I do think about it, I'm still surprised when it happens. The way she executes the twists and turns of the story which all essentially lead to the one massive twist, the one massive revelation is brilliant. For the duration of the book you are taken on multiple journeys individually with each character and then with them both as one so when this twist does happen, you react from all sides. And reading the reactions from both characters never fails to amaze me. Even when I question the action, there comes an explanation as to what led to that action. Reckless Reunion is no exception and I was thoroughly impressed.
Oh and that epilogue. Usually, we always get an epilogue at the end of each book. But this time was different. For two books we have had no epilogue. By the end of the third book, the anticipation for the epilogue was at breaking point. In two words, it was utter perfection. The reason why we were left waiting so long was as clear as day and 100% worth the wait.
If after reading this review you are unclear, I would absolutely recommend this book. Although you don't need to have read the other two books in the Reckless Rockstar series, I would suggest you do as it will bring you so much more understanding and satisfaction. And if you really want to, I would even start from the very beginning with the Mitchell sisters series.
"I kiss her long and hard. I kiss her soft and sweet. I kiss her so she'll never be able to forget what it feels like. I know I sure as hell will always remember"
