I love action packed books and if they contain vampires even better. I love this book and it's characters. Cat is smart, tough and looking to fit in. She kills vampires to make her mother happy. She runs into Bones at a club and is in way over her head. Bones is an old and very powerful vampire and of course good looking. You have to read this book to find out how Cat handles Bones< or does Bones handle Cat?

Overall premise of the book is entertaining but the heroine was annoying

Another entertaining/easy UF read.
Started off really good, then it started getting cringe when the focus was too much on the romance and the plot seemed to drag out too long. I started skimming through sections, rolling my eyes.

I actually really liked this book. I think it was a pretty interesting take on vampires. I liked all the characters and the fact that there's a government involvement aspect. That was pretty cool. I'll definitely read the next one.

SO Well written i thought i wouldnt like the love story cause it is a lot « love at first sight » but i really liked Bones. Cat is a very Nice and badass character. Its an easy funny book to read. My only complain is because i read it in french and to my opinion the translation was bad.

2.5 stars, ONLY because the last two chapters made up for what the entire book lacked. I'm okay with the lack of HEA here since I know there are plenty of other books in the series out there, ready for me to read (I hate waiting another year - or more - for a next installment).

The way I see it, this book was 98% PNR and 2% UF. Hopefully we'll get far more UF in subsequent books within the series. All that said, I think I WILL read the next one because said last two chapters really upped the ante for what happens next.

Not bad for a first novel. The characters were funny, and the action was pretty evenly paced. I am glad I just found this series, I would have been irritated having to wait for the second book.
