As usual, Karen Rose kept me guessing with action and twists all the way to the end. Considering the length of the book this one only covers a week or so. There’s a lot of action and pacing is great. These books are heavy and this one is no different. It seemed like everyone of the main characters has had this horrible, tragic life. I just wanted one character that’s had at least an ok life.

I liked both Grayson and Paige; they’re both so loyal and considerate and honorable. Though their attraction is immediate, I still found myself believing in their feelings for each other and I was happy to see them together. They each have had hard lives and they deserve happiness.

I loved the Carter family and hope to see more of them in the future as well as more of Stevie. This book really made things rough on Stevie and I want to see her find someone to lean on after everything she’s been through. As a side note I found myself strangely captivated by Adele and Darrin’s story. After each time they appeared I wanted to come back to them. I don’t know what about them was so magnetic but I would have loved more about them.

I guess this isn’t a bad thing but the list of all those involved just kept getting bigger and bigger. I feel like each book Rose has written is trying to top the previous one and it’s resulting in these huge conspiracies. I still like them but I feel like I have to take some time before starting the next one.

Paige Holden moved to Baltimore to escape a personal tragedy . She works at a PI agency with Clay Maynard and takes a pro bono case where the family insists that the convicted murderer is innocent . Soon after the murderer's wife is shot in front of her but gives Paige evidence of her husband's innocence before her death.Paige decides to take to information to the State Attorneys office Grayson Smith who though suspicious decides to take another look at the evidence. But things start heating up when another attempt is made at Paige's life and somebody would do anything to stop the investigation.

This is a great romantic suspense book by Karen Rose.Lots of well developed characters and different storylines that come together at the end. An enjoyable read but maybe a few chapters too long

Wow this was a good one. I felt so involved and enthralled reading this. I loved how you didn't know who to believe and who not to, who was corrupt and who was straight. Greyson and Paige were an awesome team. Their backgrounds made them who they are and they fit perfectly for each other. This is my first of Rose's great work and it definitely won't be my last.

This was one of the better books in this series - both Paige and Greyson were smart and brave. They made a lot of sense together! The mystery was pretty elaborate and dark as per usual.

Karen Rose writes fast paced, intense romantic suspense stories. Rookie PI Paige finds herself in the middle of a mystery when one of her clients dies in her arms. She didn’t think there was much to go on but this one moment changes everything. State’s Attorney Grayson works hard to put the right people behind bars. With Paige’s information one of his cases is blown right open. As they work together to free the wrongly accused they uncover injustice and bribery in every facet of the justice department from the cops to the judges. Unsure of who to trust Paige and Grayson battle assassination attempts as they fight to uncover the truth behind a murder. I really enjoyed the connection between Paige and Grayson and how he did not try to save her, he realized that she was a strong independent woman who could save herself. Even though this is book two in the Baltimore series I felt it could easily be read as a stand-alone. Good read!

Not as gripping as the first book in the Baltimore series but it was good. I was eager to see if my guesses on whodunnit were right.

Suspenseful mystery. Crystal Jones was killed in the gardners' shed at the estate of a big political family. One of the gardeners, Ramon Munoz, was convicted of her murder. Six years later, Ramon's wife, Elena, was murdered after finding evidence that her husband had an alibi at the time of the murder. Ramon's mother and wife had talked to a private investigator, Paige Holden, about looking into his innocence. Soon Paige's life is in danger and so is the life of State's Attorney, Grayson Smith. They work together to figure out who is behind Crystal and Elena's murder but other people are murdered along the way. I enjoyed this book.

No One Left to Tell
3.5 Stars

When a car crashes right in front of her, newly minted PI, Paige Holden, becomes ensnared in a vicious web of lies and deceit revolving around the wrongful conviction of an innocent man. Together with Assistant State's Attorney, Grayson Smith, Paige uncovers a decades-old crime and the people who would kill to keep their secrets.

An action-packed suspense plot and an enjoyable romance, but the book is overly long with unnecessary repetition and recapping of events.

The conspiracy style investigation is intricate with many complex twists and turns. Although the outcome is relatively predictable, Rose still manages to keep the reader engaged mainly due to her excellent characterization. Silas, the reluctant assassin, is especially compelling and one cannot help but sympathize with his predicament despite his immoral actions.

Paige and Grayson are likable both as a couple and as individuals. Their backstories are very intriguing and add an extra layer of nuance to their personalities. While their chemistry is wonderful, it is never really clear what they see in each other beyond physical attraction.

There is a huge cast of characters and it is not always easy to keep track of the various friends and foes. Moreover, there are too many scenes that reiterate plot points and conversations along the way. These could have been removed to make the book shorter and more cohesive.

Overall, a solid installment in the series and the hints at stories to come are very appealing.
