I love how Housman's poetry is like plodding along a pastoral scene where everything is flowers and rhymes and every now and then he throws in something like;
"hope lies to mortals
and most believe her" (VI)
like wow Alfred. Specialising in the grenade/gem combo. There's something cheeky about his style that I enjoy, and I definitely liked it more on the second go through.
