This book belongs right next to I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Lifeon my imaginary shelf of books would enjoy hanging out with to talk about books.
It helps that exactly described me in her long list of the ideal readers of Agatha Christie (you'll have to read the chapter and guess which one was me..), but in a lot of cases I actually have widely differing reading taste from the author and I still identified a lot with the feelings about books and reading she talked about.
She does occasionally annoy me by seeming a bit on the pretentious/literary side of reading, or by sharing a little more than I wanted to know about an 'adult' book, but while I might skip a few entries the second time around, I would definitely read this again when I want a cozy chat about books with a book.
