Better written than the first book; could have been better related to the first book in terms of referencing and maintaining pre-established characterization; sweet twist on a romance trope; unnecessary epilogue; I suspect the next book will be about Akash, I hope

I was so very excited to read the second book in the Chai Masala Club Series. While I absolutely loved Payal, Ayaan was a little more prickly. I found him to be tiring and frustrating. He did grow on me by the end of the book but it just always felt like something was going wrong. Either way an enjoyable read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I won an advanced reader copy of this book in a GoodReads giveaway a year or so ago, but only got to reading it this month. It was quite excellent, with good banter back and forth between the leads.

Thank you to GoodReads and Sourcebooks/Sourcebooks Casablanca for the book!

I knew exactly how the story was going to play out by the time i reached this point in the book. The characters explained exactly what they were going to do to each other instead of having the other point of view figure it out. Kinda sad.
