honestly, i was so excited to start this book, as I'm Indian and this book has an indian representation, but it was not at all I expected(in a bad way). i read romance books in like 2 days but this book was just dull and I wasn't intrigued to find out what would happen next and sometimes I found myself getting angry at the scenes this book represented like having a good relationship with your mother is her being forceful, not loving and as an indian I can say that sons are very close to their mothers in India. the characters were predictable and I EXPECTED so much!
I'm surely disappointed in this book!

I loved this book, Rita & Milan! Their journey was enjoyable to read, and I loved the touch of Indian culture ❤️

4.5 This book is awesome South Asian representation ! As a Pakistani I really enjoyed and related to this story and I’m a huge sucker for enemies to lovers. Well.. it’s more like lovers>ex>enemies>lovers

So it's the month of Feb so I've been listening to romance novels and so far most of them have made me roll my eyes lol. This one didn't make me roll my eyes. It did have some of the stereotypical stuff but I enjoyed the book. I love the culture in the book and the fact that the girl didn't have to be the typical love-sick girl you get in stories. Oh and I can totally see this book being made into a Netflix original. If this is made into a movie I'm definitely going to watch it.

Super cute and easy read. So much tension and I loved it. I didn’t exactly grasp why they had gone so long without speaking, I feel like going six years without a word after such an ambiguous situation is unlikely. Also, I was shocked that it was closed door, especially after the earlier scene after her shower (I believe) where it was pretty explicit content.

DNF - the only reason I made it to 79% was I didn't want to rent another audio book over the Thanksgiving holiday week. Way too slow - so much nothing happening and way too many irrelevant details about her dogs and wilted salads and boys who ate their snot in 4th grade and lengthy descriptions of a café she only spent one small scene in, etc. At 79% it looked like maybe the romance was finally going to happen, but even that was taking too long and I 100% didn't care anymore. Also, it was a weirdly jarring how clean it would be and then suddenly random attempts to almost be a romance novel but not really.

I couldn't connect with the characters; I found them a little overdramatic and immature. Cute book idea, but sadly not my cup of tea.

I don't think I've ever read an exes to lovers trope so here we are and it was fun!!! Loved it as much as I thought I was going to.

Rita & Milan were high school sweethearts before Milan randomly broke up with her after 6 years. Now- 6 years later, she's dating Neil (her ok boyfriend but would never get approved by her mom) and she's actually still lowkey still not over Milan. Their moms try to set them up again because Rita's a furniture & interior designer and Milan is a real estate agent and has had trouble selling a house. She agrees to help him but wants to DOUBLE CHEck & have proof that her and neil are THE match. So she signs up for this dating app but instead it says that Milan is her 100% match lol.

SO CUTE. I do wish that the 'conflict' part was...not what it ended up being?
Spoiler re: communication. like the whole reason they broke up was because of miscommunication and he didnt even trY to win her back AFTER SIX YEARS and it was all because she broke her phone after his first voicemail and didnt hear the rest of his voicemail or get the rest of his calls
I wish it was something more dramatic but I guess it was pretty realistic. Cute book~! Quite a slow burn but i also loved the humor in it and their interactions. JUST TELL EACH OTHER YOU LOVE EACH OTHER ALREADY

Spoiler the only reason why this isnt 5 stars is because THE WHOLE REASON WAS BECAUSE OF MISCOMMUNICATION !??!?!??! LOL BRUH.
