The Best Of: Paranoia (Black Widow #6)

1. Natasha allowing herself to be beat up to learn more about the men working for Damon Dran. What they don't know about her? "What these men do not know about me, though... is a black widow dangling by herself on a single thread... is a deadly thing. A really dangerous thing." Cue some epic ass-kicking.

2. Maria Hill being a badass director of SHIELD and placing her trust in her agent. Also, this line: "And if she doesn't--" "Like all of you, she's a deniable asset, agent. This isn't the Red Cross.:

3. Natasha beating the crap out of Molot. She does that so well.

4. Everything that happens after that because I definitely did not see that coming. Also, who is Chaos? What do they do, and how is the Black Widow connected to them? I need answers!

5. Natasha and Maria's conversation about what happened. "This is a complicated web, Maria. We're tangled in it." "Then I suppose we'll continue to need a spider who can navigate the threads. You're the only person I can trust right now."

6. Isaiah and Natasha eating freaking breakfast together and Natasha liking the company!

7. Hawkeye being thrown into a freaking car while Natasha watches through the window. "That looks bad." "He's had worse." "Should you get involved?" "No. Sometimes an Avenger... But we all have things we need to do on our own." Also, Isaiah insisting Natasha needs friends. "You need friends, Nat. I may not be able to help you with what comes next."

8. Natasha finally let the cat in! I may or may not have cried a little.

9. "It takes so much effort to get close to someone. To navigate those finely woven threads of doubt and trust. But sometimes... sometimes you need someone else."

10. Highly recommended!
