Following the after math of the trial of their father, Oakley and Jasper's family are moving on with their lives and thriving in the new lives they've established for themselves. What hasn't changed for Jasper is his soon-to-be ex-wife, who once again broke his heart into a million pieces. Dealing with this and his struggles from his father leads Jasper down a path he doesn't expect. I did really like this book, and liked we could see the perspective of the whole situation from a different family member and how it affected Jasper's life, in his daily life and romantic relationships. I did think the end, with him trying to work through his fears was a bit rushed and could've been better executed. I loved that he wasn't perfect but he was trying to work through it to be the dad he wanted. I would recommend this book as a sequel.
