So Gyo itself is pretty silly and not really scary. I'd hate to be in that situation don't get me wrong, but it won't keep me up at night.
It kinda lost me towards the end as well, it ends so abruptly and without resolution.

The enigma of amigara fault is brilliant however, I love that story so much.

Meh, central premise didn't really interest me that much tbh. Especially coming off of Uzumaki a couple weeks ago which I thought was brilliant, this just felt more campy than philosophical or lovecraftian.

The Enigma of Amigara Fault is a bonus in the edition I read tho and that's a 5/5 banger.

Junji Ito never fails to entertain me. I went into this with pretty much zero information about the plot. So I was definitely shocked by what the main scare was in this one. It just goes so many directions I never expect which is always what I love about Junji Ito's stories. It's dark and gross and so unique. Had a great time reading this one and can't wait to pick up more.
