This was definitely a nice little palate-cleanser. I've been reading some heavy stuff lately, so this was probably just what I needed. Plus, it's from my sister! How often does she give me books to read? I liked this a lot. The kids were so awesomely weird, and Garrett was fine as hell. I would not go about comparing me and Bailey to the Lemon sisters (we are not that dysfunctional or so stupidly clueless) but I get why it reminded her of us. Luckily, we have a much better relationship than the sisters in this book. I will say that the amount of arguments, fights, and random leavings (then coming backs) was a bit ridiculous. And the ending was SO cheesy. I mean, they had a group hug! But these kinds of books are not normally my cup of tea, so I'll let it pass. Sometimes I did want to knock these people out, very badly, because they were blind to the goings on around them, but I liked the cuteness, spice, and the message.

WOW!!!! This book is full of complicated relationships. They all center around Brooke Lemon who hasn't been home in seven years. She left her family in Wildstone years before but after a tragedy she all but disappeared from her family.

She didn't talk to her parents but occasionally on the phone. She rarely contacted her sister, Mindy, and was a terrible aunt to three adorable children. The most devastating was that she blocked Garrett, her perfect man, from her life.

Brooke was safe hiding in L.A until she wasn't. Mindy shows up at her front door falling apart, needing a break forcing Brooke to head home to Wildstone and all of her issues.

What I really liked about Brooke was that she was amazing at solving other peoples problems. However, she was crappy at figuring out her own life. It really benefits the reader. There are so many emotions. There are a bunch of great laughs. And the book is filled with life lessons.

Sisters Brooke and Mindy essentially swap lives to help each other out and find out things aren't always as they seem. Love might not be as far away as they both think. This was a great addition to the Wildstone series.

I know with Jill Shalvis I’m guaranteed to get a book with lots of humor, love, and hot men. This book delivered on all of those things plus a complex sister relationship and a marriage that was on the rocks. There were three primary relationships that were worked though in this story and Shalvis balanced all of them perfectly. The romance was important, but the relationships are what made the story so spectacular. I loved this book and definitely recommend reading it.

After 7 years of avoiding family and working through issues of past, Brooke finds herself helping her sister try to get her family and life back together while figuring out her own, working through her past issues, and finding home again.
Wraps up very nicely but takes a bit to finally get there...
Overall enjoyed but some of the little mentions and character interractions made it very obvious it was written with the 2020's perceived societial approriate mindset.

DNF. Countless cliches about single, childless women versus perfectionist women with kids. Unapologetically rips off a viral tweet in Chapter 2 and I couldn’t get past the sheer lazy writing.

I love everything Jill Shalvis so it was no surprise that I adored her newest book just as much as her other stories. This had a fresh plot about two sisters who haven't really communicated in several years. They both are living their own lives and not really noticing anything is wrong till one sister ends up on the others doorstep in tears.
The family dynamics in this book were flawless. I loved reading the story from both women's point of view. It really added to the story.

This was a cute and easy romance. The Lemon Sisters felt very relatable, especially being a mom. Good thrift find for me!
