PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

FINALLY the long awaited book !!
When I received the notification for this ARC, I was in heaven =D I'm a big fan of Rebecca Zanetti's books but more particularly of her Deep Ops series which is one of my favorites !

Driven is not the last book in the series (according to the last pages with the summary of all the books written by the author, there would be another book after that !! and I hope it will be on Jethro <3) but he concludes the cycle started around Angus and his obsession with Lassiter which had pushed him to create the team that we discovered over the books =) And after several books of CRAZY sexual tension, we finally have the opportunity to see Angus and Nari together ... And it was worth the wait =D

What I particularly liked :
- the writing style with a mixture of romance but also macabre investigation with all the technical details of an investigation but also scenes PFIOULALA <3
- the very breathless plot around Lassiter which served as a common thread from the start (I must admit that at times, even I doubted and I did not expect at all the end even if I found one of the "bad guys" shady =D)
- the romance between Nari and Angus which was PERFECT !!! All this accumulated sexual tension, these PFIOULALA scenes (the first in particular <3) but also their cute moments =)
- the characters themselves who are THE strong point of the series : Wolfe whom I still adore but also Jethro whom I would love to see in more detail and my favorite here Angus for whom I had a huge crush (the very smart heartbroken badboy ... <3)

In short, another favorite for this book from the Deep Ops series! If you like romances with humor but also twisted investigations, A MUST READ !

PS : to the publisher and Netgalley, thank you so much for the ARC =D

Angus Force gets his day to shine in the fourth book of the Deep Ops series. He still believes that the serial killer responsible for his sister’s death isn’t dead himself, but that he is out there, taunting Angus. And will Angus finally acknowledge the crazy attraction between him and Nari, the psychologist assigned to his band of misfits?

Nari is a great character. She knows exactly what she wants, and she isn’t afraid to go after it. Clearly Angus is also drawn to her many interesting facets. Angus is gruff, as you would expect, and very one-track-minded in his pursuit of Lassiter. His hunky team, who we know and love (if you’ve read the previous books) are all there in their loyal and trustworthy splendor. Along with, of course, the brilliant women by their sides.

The usual action and suspense contributed to my bad(?) habit of late-night reading. I was rooting for Angus all the way. Things did get a bit convoluted at times, and the team had to go underground, but that is where they do their best work. But I think, we can all agree that Roscoe stole the show.

All-in-all, I enjoyed this book, and the whole series so far, and Angus and Nari together as well. I definitely recommend this series if you’re interested in romantic suspense.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Okay, first things first: Rebecca Zanetti is amazing at writing romantic suspense that is packed full of action and sexual tension. You get all of that (and more) in this fourth installment of the Deep Ops series!

I don't want to give too much away since this story and its delightful characters have been building on the sidelines since the first book in the series! The hero, Angus Force, is strong but tortured - and for good reason. His backstory really draws you in and makes you feel for him. He's had a bit of a tragic past and its definitely impacted his present day a lot.

The heroine, Nari Zhang, was a bit of a surprise to me in this book. It was really great getting to understand her more through her own backstory, and watch her and Angus' relationship develop further. It was also fun to see these characters interact again with characters from the previous books. It might not seem like a big thing, but as a reader, I ALWAYS enjoy revisiting favourite characters from previous books in the series.

The story itself was exactly as you'd expect from Rebecca Zanetti: entertaining! Zanetti writes stories that perfectly blend romance, mystery, intrigue, and action that keeps readers (like myself) hooked. The only thing I would mention is that, although, the stories in this series are about different couples, I would highly recommend reading them in order. I didn't read them in order and got a little lost every now and then, but that could also be a me thing! Things do get explained though but from my personal experience, I'd suggest reading in order. Other than that, I loved everything else about this book and am always happy to hear about any new books Zanetti is writing!

Disclaimer: Thank you to Kensington Books and Netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

*I received a free copy of Driven. This has in no way influenced my voluntary review which is honest and unbiased.*

Driven is the perfect culmination to the Deep Ops series! It had even more suspense than the prior books, and I have to say that the way the mystery unfolded left me surprised and satisfied at the same time. The sexual chemistry was also extremely strong, I could feel it while reading it.
The plot was very well executed, and I loved the writing. The character development (from the start of the first book up until now) was so well done, and I have to say that I enjoyed the growth of the characters as much as I enjoyed the story, the plot and the mystery parts.

Whoa...what a book! Fourth in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I love the cover but the blurb cinched it. Action filled and the heat between Angus and Nari is nuclear!

What did I like? It took me until about twenty percent in to really become engrossed. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s the fourth in a series because this was the first I’d read. Still once it caught, it was a gripping thriller! Kept me guessing until the end! I’d definitely read more by this author!

Would I recommend or buy? I’d definitely read the whole series! Put them on a TBR pile! I seem to really be reading thrillers lately. This is my fourth one this week! Unputdownable! Five huge stars! For anyone loving a good thriller!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!
