I love Z and Jessica, so any book with the two of them is a solid three-stars. This wasn't so much about them as setting up the 'Sons of the Survivalist' series, and as such, was a bit thin overall.

Never diaaspoints

A Cherise Sinclair keeps the pages turning. Master Z and Jessica are one of my favorite couples and a glimpse into their life is always welcome.

I love Z and Jessica...

This story reminds me how real this series seems and how much I like these characters. But, this is also a great way to introduce a new series. I love Cherise's writing style, her sense of humor, and the suspenseful plotting. Can't wait for the Sons of the Survivorist.

This is hard for me to review, as I have never before read a book from Cherise that wasn't fabulous and addicting. This one just fell short of my expectations. I loved seeing Z and Jessica again and catching up with Sophia, but I didn't feel the usual intensity from them. I don't think there was enough time to became interested in or invested in the new characters. It felt like the outline of a story, with all the right parts, just missing the "meat" of it. I adore Cherise's writing and characters, so this will definitely not deter me from trying the series that this book set up.
