This book is something I didn't expect. I am the kind of person who is getting out of the YA genre and while I felt that the first 2 books were good, I also knew that I had outgrown them, hence the 4 stars. And maybe because it's in the genre of mystery as I am not a fan of using my brain to decipher a situation into a proper outcome. That's one of the reasons I didn't like SOC as I felt that a lit of info was kept away from me while reading it. And same happened with the first two books. It was good, but nothing to rave about.
This book tho..... is unhinged and has actually given me a fear to stay in the dark places at night 🫠. The first half felt like someone was stalking me and I was having this experience in real life, which was not great, and the second half is unhinged. I think I really loved Pip here, (I always thought of her as my little sister as she is very similar to her in the past 2 books) as I could finally imagine her story in my head as she became a maniacal, pill popping grey character here. Completely unhinged and destructive. My favourite kind of leads in some situations. What she goes through and what she does is truly some of the most fantastic moments in my life and I absolutely love that she actually went to cover up a murder in today's world and actually got away with it.
Another thing is that I love the supporting cast. Pip's family, her friends and her boyfriend are such a well fleshed out supporting characters. I loved their complete trust in her and the willingness to look for her and look out for her. I wish I could get at least 2 of these 3 supportive factors and I'll actually die happy! Mr. Ravi Singh, the only book character that my mom would actually give blessings for if I ever got married (exactly because he's an Indian boy) has reached the peak book boyfriend material there's been ever out, literally helping his girlfriend hide a body, I am in awe of him. I would love to have a boyfriend like that 😍.
Finally the only gripe is that what's with Dan Da Silva being on Pip's suspects every time?! I really don't know, but I could keep that away while giving full five stars to this!

Hey Sarge, remember me?
I already knew in advance that the last book of the AGGGTM series was going to be out of character for Pip. And yes, I agree, but the angles and the character development were so interesting that it was impossible to put it down. I loved the open ending. Team Ravi and Pip forever!

The first half was surprisingly predictable and I was a little put off because the previous two I hadn't guessed right from the beginning but here I had. I could get behind it though as I thought this will tie all those loose ends together and why there were so many suspicious things about certain characters.
However the second half felt like it was written about different people. Pip behaved in a way the was completely out of character dragging everyone else into it. Not a single person stepped back and said no. Ravi was supposed to be her voice of reason and even he got on board with this craziness. I thought it was too far fetched, too out of character and so disappointing. Ruined the series for me.

It took me a while to read just because I feel in and out of reading these months and the beginning was a little slow, but the rest of the book thoroughly makes up for that. I cannot even say I’m satisfied with the ending, just bitter sweetly devastated. don’t even know what else to say
