It's crazy. This book is the craziest in the series. It had me at the edge of my seat and everything. I enjoyed it obviously, I could feel how Pip's PTSD had slowly led her to insanity, this made me feel insane too. Everything about this book is crazy, I have no words for it. The ending ruined me. I wish I can see happy Pip and Ravi spin-off though. I need it, that is how I will recover from this. The only flaw I see in this book was its slow start. But maybe it could be sort of 'what kind of Pip' we will be seeing in this book. It's good, sad, very heartbreaking. #TeamRaviandPip always.

There were a lot of things that I enjoyed about this book. I loved the discussion around Pip's mental health as a result of her past cases, Pip and Ravi's relationship, and in general the detail that was put into this book.

However...

Pip having to frame Max for murder felt very unnecessary. With all of her DNA in the trunk of Jason's car and knowing that Jason had her headphones, it would have been so much easier to just go to the police. I completely understand that Pip doesn't trust the police, but there was hard evidence in Jason's trunk! It made everything so much more complicated and just felt like a crazy jump to me.

I didn't expect that one.

I enjoyed it less than the others and I didn't like where the plot went…

feel like my expectations were way too high because of the amount of people who told me how good the last book was... but im ngl it was a struggle to get through. thematically it makes sense because it's very human of pip to have the reactions and thought process that she did considering how the last book ended... but the writing style in this just isn't for me because it felt like it was dragging out alot of thoughts comparatively little in terms of dialogue that would normally balance it out which again makes sense why it's like that but just wasn't engaging enough for me.

this was an absolutely outstanding end to the trilogy. holly managed to
tie up loose ends in the first two books while writing a third book with it's own unique story. i would say this was my favorite out of the three and also the most reflective of the three- choices made by pip are complicated and will take some thought. overall, it was a great book that i could not put down.
