Holly Jackson como sempre não decepcionou.

Estou perplexa, sem palavras, então não sei bem o que dizer mas leiam, só leiam.
Ouve uma parte para o fim que custou a ler mas chegando perto do fim já não consegui largar o livro.

O final é simplesmente reconfortante, felizmente pois o livro me destroçou. Tantas lágrimas e tudo mais que não tenho nem palavras.

Queria também deixar claro que descobri quem era o FI primeiro do que a Pip.

Já para não falar do Ravi, que me deixa sem palavras. Imãos Sigh são os melhores sim.

Não tem muito o que dizer, apenas comprei uma caixa de lenços e leiam.

The first half of this book was gripping. Pippa starts seeing ominous signs, and since she's still mentally recovering from the events of the last book, she's not sure whether it's all in her head. It gets worse when the police department absolutely refuses to listen to her.

So she goes investigating again! This time, a killer seems to have it out for her. What a great premise to the end of this series, right?

This would have been a 4, maybe 5 star read if Jackson kept this up. But it all comes crashing down just after the first half of the book.

THE ENDING. WHYYY DID PIPPA'S CHARACTER HAVE TO BE BUTCHERED LIKE THIS? Ahem. Figuratively butchered. The part where Jason had Pippa was one of the best moments in the book. Pippa frees herself (woohoo!) and... proceeds to double back and smash Jason's head with a hammer repeatedly.

What? Just? Happened?

It gets worse. Pippa gets Ravi to help her out, and then gets her other friends to help her make an alibi and cover her tracks. At this point, when she and Ravi are turning the body over, when she and her friends are driving around to McDonalds like Pippa didn't just kill a man, when she's wiping the blood off her hands...

It's hard to root for her. Especially when the police begin to suspect her involvement, it's hard to just be like "yeah, go Pippa!" when she's been such a stickler for finding the truth and uncovering false alibis in past books.

And her and Ravi separate? Because she doesn't want him to be complicit? AND THEN IT ENDS???

I'm all for morally gray characters and twist endings, but it really feels like this book disrespects its precursors. Pippa was an amazing protagonist in book one. She kept it up in book two, and then for the first part of book three - only to have it thrown away in the last half.
