Three friends, Hector, Terrence, and Dee have always wondered about their lunch lady. Something always seemed off. But never in their wildest dreams could they imagine that she was superhero/secret agent with a lair full of gadgets.

Then one day, their favourite math teacher get sick and is replaced by someone who is too good to be true. Because he is a cyborg. Can the Lunch Lady stop the Cyborg Substitutes sinister plan to replace all the teachers with robots before it's too late?

Cute graphic novel that is perfect for the Captain Underpants fans out there.

Again, I'm not a huge fan of the graphic novel genre ... just not my thing, but I know it's popular with a lot of students and I think the ones who like graphic novels would like this.

I read the fourth or fifth in this series last year, and really didn't like it. However, the series is crazy popular, so another try seemed in order. I'm so glad that I picked it back up... this was an awesome book and I'm planning on picking up the next few. My experience with Lunch Lady just goes to show that sometimes you really do have to start with the first book in a series!

What do you think your lunch lady does besides slop that gravy onto your lunch tray? Do you think she just goes home to her cats and talks about how awful the kids treated her? Maybe she hangs out with her knitting club at the library?

Well, Jarrett Krosoczka proves that the lunch lady does no such thing. She's an investigative spy, and if you're not careful, she'll use her lunch tray laptop to see what you're up to. Yes, she will use her chicken nugget bombs if you're up to no good!

She's out to protect the students, no matter what silly reputation they make up for her in the cafeteria. You don't mess with the lunch lady. She means business!

Adorable. Definitely going to grab a few more in this series, to read aloud or share with C-Baby (age 7). Fun, quick, fast paced read!

Great low level graphic novel for kids. If your students enjoys Captain Underpants or other books like it, then pick this one up!

It was okay.

This was an okay read. Children will probably enjoying reading about crime fighting lunch ladies. It’s definitely meant for elementary age children.
