"Unlike the living, the dead can’t hurt you.”

This was a fantastic middle grade read! From the first page, City Spies grabbed my attention. Each of the characters were unique and intriguing in their own way. I loved learning more about each of them and I was very invested in their backstories. The world-building was perfectly paced. We learned about the interconnected spy world gradually which kept you wanting more. Speaking of the writing style, I really enjoyed the multiple perspectives! It gave the book an immersive quality that sucked me in while reading. The plot was action-packed and kept me guessing at every turn. It has everything a great spy book needs: daring heists, impressive gadgets, and thrilling chase scenes. I can't wait to see. what the rest of the series has in store!

With a loveable cast of characters, an action-packed plot, and immersive writing, City Spies is a must-read!

This was good, but I didn't love it as much as Ponti's other series, Framed. I loved the diverse characters, and the fun spy premise, but it was a little more forgettable to me. Still, I'll probably encourage my kids to read it.

It’s a cute little found family spy story! Great twist at the end to keep the reader excited about the rest of the series.
