This was labeled as an ebook instead of a comic (which is how similar books have been listed in Hoopla). It's almost entirely made up of illustrations. I think this would make a very cute coffee table book if you're into those, but it's really meant to be interactive. There are several writing prompts included, as well as simple recipes for treats like fruit crisp and oatmeal. I appreciate that the author also included cozy ideas for all seasons, not only the cooler ones. This would probably be better enjoyed as a paper book, to enjoy the prompts and the art. It's a sweet little book.

I read this as an ebook, and I hope to get a physical copy soon! A sweet and simple book, with good reminders on why to practice self care, and different ways to do so.

Make Yourself Cozy: A Guide for Practicing Self Care by Katie Vaz is a fun, illustrated guide to self care. I love that this is a guide that focuses on choice. It doesn't prescribe one brand or type of self-care, rather it presents options and asks you to reflect on where you land on each topic. The illustrations in this one are spectacular, and they contribute to the "mood" that the book is seeking to cultivate. Reading and working through this one is really building an action plan for self care as it comes at the topic from a variety of angles. Some of that is looking at barriers, others are looking at what gives you energy, and some of it is looking at where you need to build capacity in your habits. In addition, I found this one to just be full of ideas and reminders of what self care could entail. This is something that I want to go back through and reference again, and I could see it being of particular benefit when I'm having an "off" day and need a little pick me up.

It's cute. I just didn't realize it was an illustrated/inspiration book. I mean it's a book, but so short that I'm not sure it should count toward my reading goals! It's sweet, and pretty, and inspiring and likely a very nice gift for someone needing some extra comfort.

[I was given an ARC for an honest review]

This book is so cute and amazing and cozy! I loved it and I really want to buy the paperback edition as soon as it comes out because it is so cute! It's filled with lovely images and such cute tips. I really enjoy reading (and dedicating my time) to self-care and self-love and this book is the perfect guide! Especially since it focus A LOT on the Autumn season which happens to be my favourite. I loved this book so much and I totally recommend to everyone that enjoys books with cute and happy drawings, good self-love tips and lots of cozy and hygge-inspired tips! :)
