Overall an extremely well written and easy to read book. If I only have one complaint it is some segues between chapters left me scratching my head as I try to figure out how we went from topic to topic. Mostly that occurred in the first section of the book.
Other than that it is an amazing book that does a great job showcasing the horrors and dangers of life in captivity and why orca should be free. A must read for animal lovers everywhere.

Author described things a bit weirdly for my tastes. Overabundance of epithets rather than just using names, descriptions of attractiveness for women, and the frequent use of "female" just made it difficult to focus on the information.

A must read for everyone who calls themselves an animal lover. Well-written, a real page turner, and very informative. This took a lot of research and it shows.
Even if you saw the documentary "Blackfish", this book still manages to shock you and if you didn't loathe SeaWorld and the capitation of cetaceans before, after reading this you definitely will.

4.5. It’s a 5 for content, but a 4 for being a bit slow and hard to get through at times.
I didn’t finish this, but I want to go back and do so eventually. It’s extremely well backed by research and follows the passion of certain individuals that are in/adjacent to the entertainment industry and orcas. It was a bit slow to get through at times, but such an important story and well worth reading. You learn so much about orcas in the wild and how they got to where they are today in captivity.
This book allows you to form your own opinions based on facts and the experiences of those working alongside these magnificent creatures.
