I'm really getting into this series. I actually like this one more than the previous.
I do wish the stories were longer though. I feel, since the books are on the shorter side, some of the initmate scenes are rushed. Overall though, I think anyone who likes mafia romance will enjoy this.

4.5 Stars. I was enthralled from the start.

Mikhail was the perfect broody, damaged hero from the first time we met him in book 1. His issues with being touched added a thick layer of angst to the story. Bianca was so sweet and so proud of him throughout the book. Never once judging him or being afraid of his off-putting demeanor. Even when they had a little miscommunication (which was bound to happen since Bianca doesn't speak) Bianca cleared it up with poise and efficiency. All in all, it was a beautiful story.

4.5 stars!

The way this book is as pure and sweet as it is despite the dark plot baffles me.

What started out as an arranged marriage between two people with rough pasts ended up as this romantic af story that makes me wish I had a Mikhail of my own. He was the textbook definition of a touch-her-and-die hero, and I shamelessly ate up every scene where he embodied that.

And Bianca? That woman pirouetted her way into my heart. I admired her strong soul and the way she loved Mikhail. She was the light to his darkness, I loved seeing that.

Overall, this series continues to impress me. I'm eager to get to Sergei's story next!

Ugh so cute! Ok so I think I liked this better than the last book just a tad! Bianca is a mute Italian mafia princess being offered to the Russians as a wife to bring peace. Mikhail is the enforcer of the Russian mob and has been watching Bianca dance for months. Between Mikhail's no touching and scars and Biancas voice and shit family, the trauma was very prominent in the plot. What wasn't? Mikhails daughter Lena. She's present for plot purposes but she disappears in the last 50ish pages. She isn't even in the epilogue (that I remember). Just kinda weird plot hole stuff. The actual romance and main plot was great and interesting though!
