This is the first Jack Reacher book I read and I'm glad I did because it was a good book. It kept my attention for the entire book. Lee Child described the smallest of details that allowed me to paint a vivid picture in my head. I can definitely see myself reading the next book in the series when I am able to get it.

I gotta be honest I don’t normally read the foreword of most books but I’m glad I did for this one. Lee Child describes Jack Reacher as someone who always wins, and going into the book knowing that actually made it a much more enjoyable read. There was still twist and turns that I wasn’t expecting, and I was surprised along the way.
It was a good story, I just didn’t like the authors style. Although it was written well.
I really don't think this was my type of book. It was ok, but some parts were kind of gruesome. Maybe if I read it instead of listening to the audiobook I wouldn't feel this way. Good mystery and characterization, but not my cup of tea overall.

Great action, enjoyed solving the mistery together with Jack. Finlay is the best character. Period.
