Maybe another time but I’m not interested.
Does he only have one set of clothes? How is he getting this beautiful woman (who seems not to be concerned that she’s a cop and he - while maybe not the murderer they suspected in chapter 1 - is a vagrant of sorts) to sleep with him when he’s wearing the same clothes day after day. He was in fights in the jail in those clothes! He slept in them. They must smell. Yet she sleeps with him. I can’t get past this plot hole. (I know, I know, at some point he buys another shirt. My point still stands.)

2.5 stars
Just hours after wandering into town, a discharged military cop gets arrested (framed?) for a crime he couldn’t possibly have committed. He knows he didn’t do it, but has no compulsion to help solve it until it becomes personal.
This was more enjoyable that I thought it would be (but then again I had very low expectations). It was pretty faced paced which kept me interested in an otherwise uninspiring plot. It did not age well with characters acting in ways that would never happen now re: police and airport procedures.
I did not appreciate the lack of women in this book. There was one woman, a police officer, but she was immediately placed in the role of the romantic interest virtually from her first appearance. She didn’t do much police work and was mostly there to provide emotional and psychical support for the male protagonist
