Something about this book just hit me in the exact right way. I loved the premise of this book. Magical witches are each connected to a season in which their power is most strong and when they feel most themselves, but Clara is unique. She is an ever witch and her powers change to match every season. This makes her incredibly special, but it comes with some downfalls. She tries to keep everyone at arms length in order to keep them safe, but Sang wiggles himself in. Their romance felt real. You could feel their chemistry grow through time and friendship. We also get to see Clara open herself up to platonic friendship as the story goes on and it was heartwarming to see her accept herself and how that helps her find community.

Climate change is such a huge part of this book and it is done really well. I love that the witches are using their magic to try to fix the natural disasters brought on by climate change, but magic can't single handedly solve it. Witches & humans must work together to slowly fix the damage made.

This is my first book by Rachel Griffin, but I own a few others and can't wait to pick them up.

I truly loved this story. The magic and love and the MC finding herself all in one. It was so tastefully done. This is a beautiful sweet story.

Though the writing got super cheesy YA level sometimes, it was the vibes for me. The cozy, autumnal, witchy, unmatched vibes. I felt so connected to our main character, Clara, and related to her struggles about using her abilities to their fullest extent and recognizing her utmost potential. I loved how the theme of "trusting your magic" could easily be translated to real-life circumstances when it comes to believing in yourself and how much you're capable of. One of my many favorite parts of this book are the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. Not only do they relate to what goes on in the upcoming chapter, but there are several notable quotes that resonated with me and would definitely look back on in the future (and honestly even use as Instagram captions haha). I thought the romance in this book was super cute, despite the cheesy lines throughout certain scenes. The magic system is not too complex, so I appreciated being able to easily keep up with what's going on. I absolutely adored the fact that the magic was seasonal/nature-related; such a lovely concept. Although I loved how it ended, this is one of the very few books I wish weren't a standalone!

This exceeded my expectations. I took my time reading it, and I regret putting it off for as long as I did. The writing was beautiful, a well-paced story with intriguing characters. I love how each witches season plays a part in their personalities, and all the different tidbits about nature and flowers sprinkled throughout the book. The relationship between Sang and Clara was perfect, the way he works with her and sees that she's more than just her magic. It was refreshing to read a book without a true villain, where the main conflict laid within the main character. Obviously there was the conflict of the earth deteriorating under the irresponsibility of people, but the conflict within Clara, where she learns to love herself and her magic was just so well executed.
An amazing book all around, and I would 100% recommend.
