Oh my goodness, Orla! What a wild adventure and funny-sad story.
I love a good modern retelling of biblical garbage and I found Eoghan's creative rendition of a modern-day return of Jesus to be oh-so-fun and heartwarming. And the dynamic between Jesus and Orla is comical perfection.

Things this novel does super well: an incredible and unique MC voice; felt very much like it takes place in modern times but in an engaging and not over done way; Fantasmo <3

did not like the style used to depict orlas stream of conscious; while it gets the point across regarding that, the lack of commas and contractions feel out of character due to orla’s station in life and personality
reads a bit like the stories you write in elementary school where everything wraps up nicely because the final line is “and i woke up and it was all a dream” that’s not actually what happens but that is the feeling you are left with. the premise is interesting but lacks depth
