What can I say. I love this shit.

4 stars

My favorite of the dark tower books. The ka-tet stays in one location for mostly the entire story, which leads to deeper character development and more enjoyment for me....the constant reader.

Also, if you're wondering about the origins of horoscopes, then this is the book for you. Andy, messenger robot...many other functions, deals them out with just as much authenticity as the New York Times and Cosmopolitan magazine.
I swear he worked at both in the summer of 1999. With myself being a pieces, I am tired of hearing about how the stars are aligned for you, you will have a great idea today, don't stop at the stop sign, and most importantly to eat spaghetti with a spoon....I digress. Maybe I should have my card read.

5 stars from Mark Nuzzi of the Calla....Do you say so? Then Let it be so!

LOVED this book. I enjoyed the series up till now but this one is my favorite. My brother described it well "almost like an action flick". Kind of a fun read after the intense, dark moments of previous books.

I was not looking forward to reading this one much at all. The last book was a slog to finish, and it was shorter than this... I didn't want to go through that again. But thank goodness, this one actually moved along at a reasonable clip.
In some ways, it's actually similar to the last book; Roland and his tet ride into a small western town and have to save the day. The reason this book is 700+ pages though, is that there are two other stories woven through: the preacher and todash. So it's more like you take a break now and then to read another story. Also, I think the story of the town was a bit more compelling than the last, as there was more hints at the strange world of the tower, a more defined goal, and no soppy love story. Not that the ending was much more of a surprise though.
All-in-all, I enjoyed this book, though it's only 3-star quality.
adventurous dark medium-paced

I liked the rest of the series, but couldn't finish this one. It's a bit long and slow.

Esto se pone cada vez más peliagudo.

“‘A coward judges all he sees by what he is,’ Roland remarked. ‘I’d not kill you unless I had to, Slightman, because I love my own boy. You must understand that much, don’t you? To love a boy?’”

So, it is time for my Christmas reads but I had to finish King's novel of the Calla. This epic story within the epic story of the Dark Tower with nods to other King stories and also a story within the story of what happens to Father Callahan after leaving Jerusalem's Lot as I follow the Path of the Beam, may it do you fine. A story that King is best at weaving, and why I love him so.

It has been a minute since I picked up a Stephen King and I feel a binge coming on. It is getting close to Roland and his Ka-tet's journey's end. If you have finished the saga, you know how it ends and I would read and re-read and re-read with relish -- learning a little more with Roland, as I go. Great stuff!!
