it was fine, i was entertained and i enjoyed it but the twist was not really artfully done. interesting idea but it wasn’t pulled off in a convincing or interesting way

I feel like the hype for this book was a bit much in comparison to the content inside the book. I thought the story and characters were both okay but nothing super special. It didn't feel like I had to push through but it was slightly above average.

Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider is a fast paced fantasy romance full of twists and turns. I had loads of fun reading this one and can’t wait for the next book in the series. It’s deserving of all the hype!

A really interesting and gripping storyline that left a lot to look forward to as it progressed. The Magic Lore was easy to understand but well constructed and enthralling to learn about.
There is a sense of mystery and intrigue when it comes to everything about the main character B, this is also amplified with every new interaction/relationship she forms with the cast of characters she encounters. I loved the sense of adventure the world building constructed and it’s exciting to know we are going to discover more in the books to come.

I had to start my read of this one a few times, purely because of outside factors but the snippets I did read hinted at something really enticing, and boy was I right!
