This book. I knew what I was getting into when I bought it last Christmas on sale. A quick cheesy romance with secrets and evolving relationships. A pinch of heart, a dash of toxicity. This book hit the nail on the head. Everyone gets their happy ending. The pace of these relationships seem so unrealistic -- the only one that seems to be believable is Ben and Roberta. This scratched my itch for a Christmas story but fell flat on the connection with the characters. 3 Stars.

Fake dating is my least favorite trope. This one had a LGBT twist and was okay. I didn't enjoy the characters and thought they were kind of whiney and annoying. Read if you like messy Christmas romances.
I mean it's a cheesy holiday romance and it does that pretty nicely.
I like that the characters are actually aware of their flaws and try to work through miscommunications.
Probably didn't need certain subplots and the language was a bit clicheed at points, so much food melting in mouths and flavours balancing each other out like this is not a recipe blog.
