I really wanted to like this because it’s set in St. Helena, in the Napa Valley (close to home for 15 years) but the characters are so immature that I struggled to take it seriously.

I do love a good romcom especially after reading an intense fantasy book, and Tessa Bailey never disappoints me.

Secretly Yours is a cute, light hearted, easy read. I love the town setting and all the wine! Very much up my alley.
I personally relate to the main character Hallie, as she’s going through an identity crisis after losing the one grounding person in her life. Of course she would spiral and it explains a lot of her actions in the first half of the book. I really enjoyed the dynamic between her and Julian. He’s so uptight and strict and she’s this wild hurricane. I definitely loved how she made him lose control. (And the dirty talk !! Lawd

Secretly Yours is a classic Tessa Bailey novel, you know what you are going to get. Lots of chemistry and plenty of spice, with heart. Hallie and Julian are very opposite attract but they both help each other learn to be less rigid or less scattered in their own ways. I like the setting of this in wine country and i liked the small town vibe, with the focus also on healing family. I look forward to reading Natalie's story.

The characters felt more well developed than with Tessa’s Clarkson sibling series, but Hallie and Julian’s romance didn’t really make me feel anything. And I could have done without the internet stalking

I couldn’t put this book down! This is another fantastic romance by Tessa Bailey. I love the opposites attract between the characters. One is super rigid and strict with his life. The other is a little bit chaotic. They pair perfectly together. This is also somewhat of a second chance romance. They weren’t together before but had a small spark of attraction as teenagers. I also really felt a connection to one of the characters struggling with anxiety. I can’t wait for the next book!
*thank you to NetGalley for an arc.

These characters don’t need each other, they need a lot of therapy
