Aiza's journey to becoming a squire is beautifully illustrated and a real treat! Her biggest dream is to become a Knight and the first step to making that dream come true is to join the army as a recruit and become a squire. Soon she finds out that the path to becoming the hero is not as pleasant and glorious as she once thought.

This was a beautiful graphic novel with compelling art that was easy to get lost in and a story dealing with complex themes of war, acceptance of others, and thr gray areas between right and wrong. I would love to read more in this world and about these characters.
