Ok. WINNER. This audiobook was SO good. Lorenzo was a total murderous babe. Gabriella had her moments but was a solid FMC. And not for nothing but Jason Clarke could read me pages out of the dictionary and make it sound hot. All around great listen for the day. I would listen to this book again, and I will definitely find another work by this author.

We meet Gabriella when she’s lost her mom, before her mom dies she tells Gabriella that if she ever hit bottom and had nothing left to lose, she is to go to her half brother, mob enforcer and consigliere, Vincent ( we meet him in book one of lies of the underworld).
While she meets Vincent for the first time she also meets the boss of the family Lorenzo. While they keep Gabriella’s parentage secret from the rest of the family, they keep her safe and a secret.
Lorenzo and Gabriella become close and intertwined and their paths will forever be one and the same.

I loooovvvvveee Lorenzo. And yes I meant to spell love like that haha,
He is the mob boss with a heart and he loves her through his actions and words. He will forever protect what is his and he will burn the world down if he has to.

Another spicy read, I liked it but got tired of the weird reason people would want Gabbi dead, I felt like Enzo could have and should have laid down law a lot earlier instead of being scared of the backlash

Another hot hot hot book by Haley Jenner. I devoured this book, couldn’t help myself to put it down. I just want to know the story of Lorenzo and Gabriella. I enjoy reading this book. I love following the characters relationship. I love how Lorenzo changed into this loving guy despite of his alpha male personality. They are obsessed with each other.

It’s a brother’s best friend sister trope, and a mafia romance. Overall I rate it 4/5⭐️

This book consumed me in all the right ways. I have read it twice and can NOT get enough. I absolutely adored Gabbi and I am debating finding my own Lorenzo to take care of me. This book has angst, suspense, drama, and a little bit of violence. I am absolutely obsessed and am desperately waiting for more!

“𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘢 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢.”

LORENZO MF CARUSO.
that’s pretty much all I have to say, this man.. oof. 😮‍💨 this is my favorite book in the series so far. Mafia romance, age gap, with the ruthless & unhinged mafia boss? I couldn’t put it down.
He was sweet, very possessive and controlling. Just the way I like my (mafia) men..

Gabriella, sweet Gabbi - I loved her. I loved the way she was trying to find her place in the crazy mob world, how she was holding her head up high the entire time. She really earned her nickname ‘lioness’. The way she turned the big mafia boss, Enzo into a big simp, just for her * swoon*. I was already secretly rooting for the two in book one, they haven’t had the easiest love story but when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.

I am obsessed with this series, the world and all of the main and side characters. It wouldn’t surprise me if I would pick up book 3 straight away - whilst hoping for Leonardo’s book 🤞🏼
