What a guy. Sad pathetic rich young man spends four? years getting drunk, making women miserable, and bemoaning that he’s not a famous artist. Does his circumstances suck at times? Yes. Does he do his best to make them worse? Of course. 

Crazy they made an anime with this dude.

bogen er essentielt et selvmordsbrev. den er rå, hjerteskærende og dybt foruroligende, og virkelig ikke for den sarte læser :)
og trust, jeg nød ikke misogynien. men hvis man samler bogen op og forventer andet fra en mandlig-japansk-forfatter fra starten af 1900-tallet, skal man lægge bogen ned igen.

Man this book was so depressing but I think it encapsulates something that I feel most people feel at some point in their life.

The misanthropy (but mostly misogyny in this case) and the rejection of human nature is by no means a destined pathway to failure like it was for the main character but it highlights the slippery slope, the dark path, that one can go down if they don’t keep it in check.

(Also alcoholism and drugs bad)
