Original and very funny.

Bloody hilarious. Just as entertaining as the Artemis Fowl books but with an adult bent and funny humor to boot. Loved it.

I'd never read a Colfer book and this book about a dragon appealed to me. Exquisite description of being on the water in the bayou. Fast-paced, humorous, with a believable and frightening main villain. There is so much swearing the book might be 2000 words shorter without it. The ending is rushed but work well as a movie. Is it worth reading? Definitely

Just a fun book full of silliness and nostalgia. Very lovable characters.

Ein wirklich wundervolles Buch, mit tollen Charakteren, einer abgefahrenen Story und dem üblichen Eoin Colfer-Humor!

Great light read with a very unique premise.

Very Christopher Moore-esque. Bizarre in many excellent ways, but the plot drags. A ton of action eventually takes place, but dangerously close to the DNF range for me. Glad I finished it but not a essential read for me. This will have a pretty niche adult audience.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.

I wanted to like this book because I'm such a fan of the author, but this really felt like an Artemis Fowl book, but with adult language, and that really didn't do it for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it.

Squib dropped the grenade launcher and thought about his favourite book as he surfed on a keel plate that moonlit summer swamp night. The book was The Princess Bride, and the part was where one guy says to the other guy following a series of barely credible events how “inconceivable” might not mean what he thought it meant.
Yup, thought Squib, though mostly he was screaming.
