Here contains a really nice little collection of Dickens' Christmas works. Most of the stuff in this anthology I was unfamiliar with, some bits I knew, but every piece was interesting in one way or another.
Christmas Festivities - A nice little introduction to the book.
The Story of the Goblins who Stole a Sexton - I really enjoyed this one, a forerunner to A Christmas Carol, but in some ways more gruesome.
A Christmas Episode from Master Humphrey's Clock - We stan the disability rep!
A Christmas Carol - My goodness this is just time and time again a wonderful read, Dickens is such a master of storytelling.
The Haunted Man - Weird, very very weird.
A Christmas Tree - Some nice language, but I admit I couldn't really tell you what was going on.
What Christmas is, as we Grow Older - This is quite deep for such a short story.
The Seven Poor Travellers - An interesting and readable ending, I wish it was longer.

Just read A Christmas Carol again - not the whole collection, just the one story. For some reason this year I had a harder time getting through it. I could tell more obviously the moments where Dickens was writing sentences for the payment and not for the story, but perhaps I just wasn't in the right mood to read this year as I have in the past. Still an enjoyable story, I hope to remember to read it EARLIER next December instead of waiting to start it on the 23rd of December, the busiest time!

I loved a Christmas carol! But I could do without the other stories.
