Such a fun novel about the runt of a runt that becomes such a big guy! Sy Montgomery brings us to her farm to follow the many misadventures of Christopher Hogwood. She includes lots of photos in the book too. Her real-life story makes me want to move to a farm and surround myself with rescued animals in need, but my husband and our two rescued house cats vetoed the idea. So instead, I will read more of her books!

What a delightful book! Reminded me of the book, “Oink” My life with mini pigs” by Matt Whyman.
Definitely tugged at the heart strings as a fellow pig owner. Such a sweet story! I loved reading about a Christopher’s impact on the local community.
Very enjoyable book! The equivalent of Marley and Me, but Christopher Hogwood is a pig, which is what makes this book unique; also, this book is better written than Marley and Me. The Good Good Pig is a true story about the power of animals -- even in the case of a pig -- to bring healing, love, and a sense of belonging to the humans that come in contact with them...
There is something engaging about Montgomery's writing, that I think stems from her unbridled enthusiasm about her subjects. She can make the smallest interactions and everyday life shine with importance just through her own reverence for these small details.
In this story, we get a peek into the life of a woman who feels awkward around people, and who regularly communes with the animal kingdom. It's an interesting perspective on animals: very anthropomorphic, but extremely loving, and thoroughly fascinated by animal behavior.
