This was needlessly depressing, and used so many "traumatic events" so poorly without contributing to the plot or encouraging character growth. I was cringing from the age difference at the start and never stopped cringing right up until the end. Not for me!

4.5 ⭐️?? or maybe 5 idk.

“Thayer Holmes has branded himself on me. And I know, without a doubt, that whatever this is, whatever we become, if we grow and flourish like the wildflowers behind our houses, or crash and burn, it won’t matter because when I’m old and gray, lying in bed thinking about my life, he’ll be the best part.”

my seasonal depression is at an all time low rn and im on period day 3 i just cant do this right now. like why am i crying and screaming at a book right now i look absolutely fucking psychotic. THE ENDING?? I DONT EVEN LIKE KIDS. brb starting second book

CHECK THE TRIGGERS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Even if you love to go in blind like I do check the triggers on this one.

I’ve never even enjoyed romance… Not since high school…. But this…. This is SO MUCH more than just a cheesy romance! Some of it was cheesy; but it was also fun, exciting, beautiful, heartbreaking, and absolutely soul crushing! Some parts seemed like slow burns, but not in a bad way at all! Some of it was really intense- definitely check ⚠️trigger warnings⚠️ on this one! Some of it was absolutely adorable in like an omg she met her soul mate kind of way! Some of it was heartbreaking for sure, but the characters were so easy to be attached to that you felt the break with them! And some of it was absolutely soul crushing as well! I got teary eyed quite a bit! I cried a few times and that’s a big deal for me! Books don’t usually make me cry! I’m a Cancer, I’m a crier!🫠😂 I fully expected to be okay with being able to take a break between the first and second book to read a thriller in between! That ending though!🥺🫣I can’t wait to dive into book two!!
