I ventured to the nearest Borders and sought out this book based on the goodreads reviews. I found it in the SciFi\Fantasy section which I thought bode well. I did not want to read a supernatural bodice ripper. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised. Anyone who has read Twilight will be familar with the wolf pack dynamic which was in full display in this novel.
Will probably read the next novel with Elena.

This story about a woman werewolf did not feel like it was from a woman's perspective until near the end when she was interacting with a mysognistic rapist and murderer. I actually looked up Kelley Armstrong to see the author's gender, that's how much the main character's reactions to sexualization didn't feel authentic and how traditional the gender politics of the werewolf world was depicted.
The plot was mostly predictable, as well. Overall, pass this book by.

Fairly standard paranormal romance--I think I prefer the Paige and Lucas books in this series to the werewolf ones.
A romance novel with a twist - Werewolves. I thought the scene where Elena and Clay walk out of the forest, naked, to see the rest of the pack standing there talking with humans - the look on the faces was priceless.

Fourth (or fifth) time rereading Bitten by Kelley Armstrong and I’m still such a sucker for Jeremy’s quiet strength and Clay’s unhinged loyalty.
The pack dynamics? Top tier. The emotional weight? Still hits. But this time around I definitely noticed a few dated and uncomfortable moments that made me pause.
A genre-shaping fave with bite, even if I’m reading with a more critical lens now.
Didn't love the audible narrator, but I did get used to her. Overall interesting werewolf story!
This book was my first real jaunt into adult paranormal fantasy genres, oh about 6 years ago. Words cannot simply describe this book for me. This book is like Christmas morning to me, it brings up nostalgia, I look forward to it again and again, and the characters are like family I haven seen for a while but cant wait to hug. I have read this book too many times to remember as my paperback has no spine and pages are taped into place. Whenever I miss Elena I pick this book up and start the whole series over again. Elena is complicated, broken, and vulnerable yet stubborn and strong. Kelley Armstrong doesn't heft Elena's backstory on us all at once, but places it out of reach and makes the reader reach for it. Clay and Elena's dance is expertly done, no teenage/YA angst ridden nonsense. All of her characters are intriguing, but for me Jeremy has always made me want to know more. Kelley Armstrong makes werewolves smart, sexy, and makes you desperately wish it was real.
Bien aimé l’histoire et les personnages du PNR comme je les aimes
